Florence City Schools

Education Foundation

Thank you for taking a moment to learn more about the Florence City Schools Education Foundation (FCSEF). I hope by spending a moment on our website you will come to join us in our mission to build a better classroom. By focusing in on the classroom we feel we can have the greatest chance to prepare our student body for the life before them – one we hope will be productive, balanced, and happy.

In the past six years we have awarded over $100,000.00 in classroom grants. How have we done this? Through support from our local community and partnerships with various businesses, families and individuals who believe a strong education means a healthy and safe community, we have managed to carve out a strong program of support for our schools. The Grand One Hundred is a group of such individuals who contributes a minimum of $1,000.00 in a single school year to make current programs, such as our Manners Etiquette workshops, as well as future programs on the drawing board, come to life to insure our children are getting all the tools necessary for success.

Our foundation is proud to partner with the Anderson Foundation through the Anderson Classroom Excellence Awards (ACEA). Teachers and students benefit annually as classrooms receive generous financial support for programs, equipment, and field trip expenses which are requested through a grants program. Without such support our children’s educational experience would be noticeably limited. The ACEA awards are a shinning example of local business partnering with education to build a better classroom. If your business is looking for a way to make a difference in education, please allow us to work with you in developing a plan.

Thank you for your interest in FCSEF. Please feel free to contact me at any time should you have a question, suggestion, or thought to share regarding our schools.
